On trend: Tickets on sale to charity fashion show

Funeral care, fashion and fundraising are coming together for a second year in Goring.

Fashionistas and fashion first-timers are both invited to an evening of trend setting and inspiration organised by Caring Lady Funeral Directors in Goring.

This year’s event, on 20 February, will be raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital and is organised with the help of Travelling Trends who organise fundraising fashion shows across the south of England.

Last year Caring Lady’s fashion show raised around £800 for St Barnabas House – a hospice based in Worthing which provides palliative care to adults with advanced progressive life-limiting illnesses.

Funeral Co-ordinator Sandra Choi, who is organising the show, said: “Last year we had around 80 ladies join us on the night plus all of our incredible fashion volunteers and organisers.

“It was a wonderful night and a great success. There was a lot of laughter and there was a real buzz around the room.

“We really hope we can match the amount we raised last year. Everyone has been really supportive again and we are really looking forward to it.”

There will be a live catwalk show as well as time to try on and buy this season’s high street and branded fashions at bargain prices.

Caring Lady will also be selling homemade cakes at the event and all monies raised from that will be donated to a local charity, still to be decided.

The fashion show will be held at Goring Conservative Club on 20 February at 7.30pm with doors open from 6.30pm.

Tickets cost £5 and must be bought in advance from Caring Lady Funeral Directors at 56 Goring Road or at the Conservative club, at 49 Mulberry Lane.
