Caring Lady funeral homes blessing at Christmas

Caring Lady Funeral Director held a Christmas Tree Blessing in each of its funeral homes across East and West Sussex throughout the month of December. Clients from the past year were invited to attend and place personal message cards on the tree in memory of their loved ones.

On Wednesday 15th December, the funeral home at Hove invited clients to attend their Christmas tree blessing service which was officiated by Reverend Peter King.

Reverend King commented “It was on a cold and wet December evening that Jan, Amanda, Kirsty and myself, met to hold a small Christmas Tree Blessing Service at Caring Lady’s Hove office.  We had a great time together singing carols, praying, eating mince pies and, most importantly, remembering our loved ones.  Thanks to all who braved the elements and received the comfort that Jesus brings.”

Rev Peter King entered into full-time church ministry in 1985.  Having been the minister of a church in Brighton for ten years and now in early retirement as a Free Church minister, he brings his long pastoral knowledge of dealing compassionately with people, passion for music and acting background to bear as he carries out his now full-time occupation as a funeral officiant.  Whilst not getting involved with other religions, his ethos is that he will help families by arranging and taking a Service for their loved ones with everything from a full-blown Christian to a non-religious Funeral Service.

The team at Caring Lady including Amanda Zinski, Kirsty Herriott & Jan Citrone concluded “It was a pleasure to be able to invite our families back into our funeral home to attend our blessing service and place their memorial cards onto our tree. In December, it is important to remember the loved ones whom we have lost, and I was delighted to be able to organise this special service for our many families”.

The Christmas trees remained within each funeral home reception area until after the festive season.
